Hijack - A Great Thriller on Apple TV+

So my son came to me and said he really wanted to see a show called Hijack on Apple TV+. He said he saw some TikTok posts about it and it looked really cool. Now, I'm not a TikTok person, but my son said he wanted to watch a show with me. That's all it took. I've had subscriptions to Apple TV+ before, but I typically get it once or twice a year and watch all the shows I want to watch. So paying $12.99 for one month is not bad at all. So as soon as he said that, I paid for a month and we were off to the races. Now, typically you watch a show like this over several days or weeks. I mean it's only 7 episodes. Right? Wrong! We started it on a Friday evening and finished Saturday by noon. It was kind of addictive. Once an episode was over, I wanted to keep watching to see what would happen. Do You Remember the Burger King Halloween Black Whopper? Or Other Colored Buns?

Where was I in 2015? How did I miss the fact that Burger King had a Halloween Whopper with a black bun? Of course it never came back after 2015. Must be for a reason. I would say the biggest reason has to be it looks burnt. Sure it may not taste that way, but the way things look go a long ways. But wait.. Burger King has had other bun colors thru the years. In 2018 the green bun came out. It was called the Nightmare King. In 2023 they introduced the Spider-Verse Whopper with a red bun. Then in 2024 Burger King had a purple bun for The Addams Family promotion. Now the purple bun at least looks a bit more appetizing than the black bun. These are just a few of the very weird bun combinations that Burger has given us over the years. Do people really want or need this? I understand it's something different, so people order it for that reason. But do we really need different colored buns? If you do like these colored buns, then what else do you want? Blue buns?

Alphabet Aerobics Lyrics - Can You Memorize This Song and Repeat??

I remember back in 1999 when the song Alphabet Aerobics came out by Blackalicious. I remember thinking to myself, I should memorize this and be able to sing it. That would be so impressive. I remember to this day trying to memorize. The furthest I ever got was half way thru the letter F. "Furious Fat fabulous fantastic" Then my mind just couldn't do it anymore. It was quite disappointing actually. I just didn't try once. I tried numerous time. Even to this day, as I just tried, F was the furthest I could get. I guess I get an "F" in this little life learning lesson! I will say 10 years ago when Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) was on the Tonight Show and decided to sing this song it was awesome. Of course I tried again to memorize.... and couldn't. I guess the question now is.. can you? Give it a try!

Uncharted - A Good Watch and an Option with Teens

Uncharted isn't a brand new movie. It first came out in February of 2022. In fact I remember watching it when it first came out. But I recently watched it again with my son who is 14 years old. Now, normally trying to find a movie with my son can be hard. He doesn't want to watch anything that I typically watch. But Uncharted has Tom Holland in it. And of course Tom Holland is better known as Spider-Man. So this is a movie my son would watch. I'm a big fan of movies about treasure hunts, so this movie fits the bill for me. It also stars Mark Wahlberg and Sophia Taylor Ali. The movie is about a young, street-smart thief named Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) who is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to find a lost fortune amassed by Ferdinand Magellan. Their globe-trotting quest becomes a race against a ruthless villain, Santiago Moncada (Antonio Banderas), and his mercenary leader, Braddock, to find the treasure before they d...

Eating 6 Saltine Crackers in a Minute - How Hard Could It Be?

How hard can it be to eat 6 saltine crackers in a minute. Doesn't sound hard. Of course you have to do it without any liquids. So can't down water after each one. So I imagine your mouth would get pretty dried out. But could I do it? Eating saltine crackers without water is hard because they quickly absorb saliva, turning them into a dry, crumbly mass that is difficult to swallow. The crackers are a simple starch, and without saliva to lubricate and break them down, they become like chewing paper and can be difficult to move down the throat. According to Guinness World Records the most eaten was 6 officially. But I saw many other videos out there where people got up to 12 crackers eaten in a minute. But I will stick with trying to go for 6 and see if I can even do that. Well here we go:

Prison Break - A Reboot is Coming

Prison Break which originally came out in 2005 on FOX was 4 seasons long and lasted until 2009. Then in 2017 a revival season came out, which included most of the main cast. Now the thing about Prison Break is I never watched it originally. This past Summer my son and I started watching it on Netflix and got hooked. The first season, which was the best of the series, got us hooked and for my teenage son to like a show that came out before he was born was saying something. So what was Prison Break about: Prison Break was a show about structural engineer Michael Scofield's plan to break his wrongly convicted brother, Lincoln Burrows, out of a maximum-security prison before his execution. To do this, Michael gets himself incarcerated at the same prison, Fox River State Penitentiary, by committing a bank robbery. He has a full-body tattoo that contains the blueprints to the prison and other necessary clues for their escape. From there the story goes on over the seasons with many diff...

National Treasure 3 Coming? Let's Get Prepared

The first two National Treasure movies were both great. The first movie, National Treasure , came out in 2004 and first introduced us to Benjamin Franklin Gates, played by Nicholas Cage. Benjamin "Ben" is a member of a family of treasure hunters. At a young age, his grandfather tells him the legend of the hidden treasures of the Founding Fathers of the USA. His grandfather teaches him that the men and women of American history buried the treasure somewhere within the country and have hidden highly cryptic clues throughout various lands within the nation's borders. This eventually leads to his great treasure quest. Then in 2007, National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets came out. Several years after Benjamin "Ben" found the Knight's Templar national treasure, the Gates family finds themselves once again defending their family name. Play Dirty - Movie Review

Play Dirty, starring Mark Wahlberg, came out on Prime Video on October 1st. From first glance it looked liked it would be a good movie. It also stars LaKeith Stanfield and Rosa Salazar, who I had seen in other movies and liked. So far, so good. So what is it about? Play Dirty is a 2025 action-heist movie about a professional thief named Parker (Mark Wahlberg) who gets drawn into the biggest heist of his life after being betrayed by a crew member. The film follows Parker and his new, makeshift team as they take on the New York mob, a dictator, and a billionaire industrialist to steal a valuable treasure, blending action and comedy. A heist movie. Which is typically a sign of a movie I would enjoy. I started watching and realized it was not that great of a script. The action moves in and out and I found myself bored 30 minutes in. I gave it a chance and kept watching. It wasn't the worst movie ever, by any means. But, it just seemed like I was watching a movie with big stars...
