I walked into Hy-vee this morning to take advantage of an awesome deal on Throwback Pepsi (Four 12 packs for $6.00!) and noticed something horrifying. Mixed in with the Iowa, Iowa State, UNI and Drake merchandise was Nebraska Cornhusker gear. What is going on here? We live in Iowa, right? Not only is this not Nebraska, but the Cornhuskers are one of Iowa State's top rivals. Plus, now with the move to the Big 10, Nebraska is going to be on one of the Hawkeyes top rivals. So what gives? If the merchandise inside the store wasn't bad enough, I noticed on my way out there was 3 flags flying high by the Liquor Dept. You guessed it, Nebraska was one of them.
Hy-Vee, ditch the Cornhusker gear and get your act together.
Update: A lot of people have asked. The Hy-Vee I'm referring to is the one at Jordan Creek Pkwy and University in WDM.
