Eating 6 Saltine Crackers in a Minute - How Hard Could It Be?

How hard can it be to eat 6 saltine crackers in a minute. Doesn't sound hard. Of course you have to do it without any liquids. So can't down water after each one. So I imagine your mouth would get pretty dried out. But could I do it? Eating saltine crackers without water is hard because they quickly absorb saliva, turning them into a dry, crumbly mass that is difficult to swallow. The crackers are a simple starch, and without saliva to lubricate and break them down, they become like chewing paper and can be difficult to move down the throat. According to Guinness World Records the most eaten was 6 officially. But I saw many other videos out there where people got up to 12 crackers eaten in a minute. But I will stick with trying to go for 6 and see if I can even do that. Well here we go:

National Treasure 3 Coming? Let's Get Prepared

The first two National Treasure movies were both great. The first movie, National Treasure , came out in 2004 and first introduced us to Benjamin Franklin Gates, played by Nicholas Cage. Benjamin "Ben" is a member of a family of treasure hunters. At a young age, his grandfather tells him the legend of the hidden treasures of the Founding Fathers of the USA. His grandfather teaches him that the men and women of American history buried the treasure somewhere within the country and have hidden highly cryptic clues throughout various lands within the nation's borders. This eventually leads to his great treasure quest. Then in 2007, National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets came out. Several years after Benjamin "Ben" found the Knight's Templar national treasure, the Gates family finds themselves once again defending their family name. Competing scavenger Mitch Wilkinson claims that he has learned from a fragment of a missing page of John Wilkes Booth's diary, ...

Novocaine - A Movie Review

So I decided to watch Novocaine starring Jack Quaid, who is the son of famous actor Dennis Quaid. The movie officially came out March of this year. The premise of the movie is Quaid's character, Nathan Caine, is incapable of feeling physical pain. Which in theory sounds good. But when you can't feel if you are being burned or cut, it could cause some problems. The film also stars Amber Midthunder, who plays the love interest of Nathan. When Sherry (Midthunder's character), the woman he loves is kidnapped, he uses his unique lack of pain to become an action hero and fight to rescue her. The film blends action, comedy, and suspense as Nate navigates a violent situation, using his condition to his advantage. It's a fun movie to watch seeing Nathan get thru situations where a typical person would be screaming in pain and he feels nothing. Definitely worth a watch and will give you a few good laughs. Out of 10 Popcorn Kernels, I give it a 7.

Love Again - Movie Review

Love Again stars Priyanka Chopra as Mira Ray, a woman who has lost her fiancée and deals with it by sending texts to his old phone number. Rob Burns (played by Sam Heughan) is the new owner of the phone with that number. Rob is a journalist and is intrigued by these random text messages. For work he is currently doing an interview with singer Celine Dion and enlists her help in responding to the women on the other end of these texts. He figures out a way to meet her and sparks fly. Initially all is going well, but then as in all love stories, there is a bit of drama. Can they get back together at the end? Will it all work out? I guess you have to watch to find out! Worth the watch, but not a movie you will want to watch over and over. Available on Hulu and Disney+. Out of 10 Popcorn Kernels, I give it a 6.

Vengeance - A Movie Review

Now let me start off by saying I wanted to like this movie. I'm a huge fan of The Office tv series and seeing B.J. Novak (who was in The Office) was the star and director of this film got me excited. This film actually came out July of 2022 and I had never heard of it. I guess that should of told me something. But it got decent reviews from others, so because of that and Novak, I decided to give it a watch. Plus, it has Dove Cameron in it, who I had seen tons of times watching Liv and Maddie with my kids over the years. Then, there is Ashton Kutcher. Who, hasn't really had any good movies in a long time. So, I buckled in and decided to take 1 hr 47 min to see...... Novak who plays Ben in the movie is a writer from New York who finds out a girl he hooked up with a few times died. The girl's family thinks they were a serious relationship so they call him and talk him into coming down to the funeral in Texas. He begrudgingly goes and after talking to her brother sees an ide...

Grizzly Bear vs Professional Eater: Is It Really Even a Contest?

I remember my first time seeing a grizzly bear vs a professional eater was an old video of Kobayashi going against a bear 19 years ago. I remember thinking then a human has no shot against a bear and a younger version of me was right. But is it still true? I ran across a Youtube video that Max Fosh did, talking about this very subject. So I had to give it a watch. But first, I checked AI just to see what it would say. Here was the response: In an eating contest, a bear would win against a human due to its superior capacity for consuming large quantities of food quickly, as demonstrated by a competitive eating event where a grizzly bear beat a professional human eater in a hot dog contest. While a human can train to eat a lot of a specific food, bears have a more naturally large stomach and a different digestive process optimized for consuming huge amounts of food, whether meat, berries, or other plant matter. So was AI right. Would a bear still win. Let's see!

Do You Remember the Burger King Halloween Black Whopper? Or Other Colored Buns?

Where was I in 2015? How did I miss the fact that Burger King had a Halloween Whopper with a black bun? Of course it never came back after 2015. Must be for a reason. I would say the biggest reason has to be it looks burnt. Sure it may not taste that way, but the way things look go a long ways. But wait.. Burger King has had other bun colors thru the years. In 2018 the green bun came out. It was called the Nightmare King. In 2023 they introduced the Spider-Verse Whopper with a red bun. Then in 2024 Burger King had a purple bun for The Addams Family promotion. Now the purple bun at least looks a bit more appetizing than the black bun. These are just a few of the very weird bun combinations that Burger has given us over the years. Do people really want or need this? I understand it's something different, so people order it for that reason. But do we really need different colored buns? If you do like these colored buns, then what else do you want? Blue buns?
