A Caffeine Bar for Breakfast? Yep, that's my Routine

 


Most people will drink coffee in the morning to get the caffeine to wake up for the day. But, I don't like coffee. Can't stand it really. I like tea, but tea makes me have to pee way to much. I could drink a soda, but we all know soda is fattening and has way too many sugars in it. So what else is there? I need caffeine. It is my one vice I need! Don't do drugs, barely drink alcohol and I cut out drinking soda (drink Cirkul now), but I need caffeine to wake up!

The answer for me? Clif Caffeine Bars. Now let me start by saying I am a breakfast eater, but I don't like greasy things for breakfast. Plus I want something easy I can grab fast and take it to work. That's when I found these amazing bars. Not only a bar, which tastes good, but it has caffeine in it! 65mg! That's plenty to get me going. Now originally they just had a mint version, which luckily for me I love mint. So that was my breakfast everyday. I would get my kick of energy from that bar and be good. 

Then this year Clif came out with 2 more caffeinated flavors. They have a Caramel Chocolate Chip and a Vanilla Almond, which are both good. So now I have 3 options to eat in the morning. So, the next question you might have is:  Are they expensive? 5 packs of the bars at my local grocery store can range from $6.50-7.50 depending if they are on sale. I can get a 10 pack on Amazon for $12.64. So you are looking at around $1.26 per bar. Which is cheaper than going to your local Starbucks and grabbing a coffee.

So, if you are like me and not a coffee fan, I would try out Clif Caffeinated bars. They are a good source of protein and you will wake up after eating one. It's a win, win.
