DIY Halloween Window Projection

So you may have seen your neighbors with Halloween window projections or seen them online. I was curious to see if this was something I could do. But then I started looking online to see how much this would cost me. I saw anywhere from $60-$200 for kits or buying things separately. I liked the way it looks, but I'm not rich, and I don't want to spend that much money. So I decided to try and do it, but for the cheapest way possible.

First I had to buy a projector. Amazon had many different ones, but the cheapest I found was $50. Then I thought to myself, how could I find it even cheaper? The answer, Temu. Sure, things take forever to come and they are some weird brand, but I had to be able to find a projector cheaper. So I searched and found one for $10.49. I couldn't beat that. After shipping it was $14.99. So I ordered.

Then I had to find something to project it on for my window. The projection material screen I needed to fit my window, the cheapest I could find was $30. But then I read you could use a shower curtain as long as it was frosted instead. I went on to Amazon and found one for a lot cheaper. After tax and shipping it was $11.72.

So the project cost was $26.71 so far. I needed a memory stick to put the image on that I would show on the projector. I could of sworn I had one, but I couldn't find one. So I ordered a 2 pack on Amazon for an additional $8.49. So my final cost for the project was $35.20. But would it work?

I found a movie to use for free by doing a Google search. Here is the one I used.

I set up my projector on a table I found around my house.

And I also set up my shower curtain on the window I was going to project it on.

Now it was just a matter of waiting for it to get dark to test it out! | Ok the time has come to test. Below you will see a video of what it looks like. Also there is a picture. It's not the best. It's not horrible. I think I'm gonna put it on the main level of my house instead of the upstairs and see if I can get it to look a bit better. Then if I can get it looking good, I may invest a couple dollars in a different video. We shall see!

So, if you are looking for a cheap DIY Halloween Window Projection, you can try this out. Or if you have the money, buy an expensive version!
