Elizabethtown - A Must See Movie

People ask me a lot, what is my favorite all time movie? My answer is simple. Elizabethtown. Yes, I'm a Star Wars nerd. And love a lot of other movies. But Elizabethtown is my favorite. Yes, it's an older movie, that came out in 2005, but it's a classic.

I think a part of the love of the movie for me is I lost my father close to when I first saw it. So, with Orlando Bloom's character losing his father in the movie, I could really relate.  But it's not just a movie about death. It's a love story as well. Kirsten Dunst plays a flight attendant that Drew (Bloom's character) meets on a plane to Elizabethtown to deal with the death of his father. Drew has just lost his job, his girlfriend and was about ready to commit suicide before getting the call about his father. Yes, it sounds a little dark. But the great part of the movie is seeing Drew grow as a person, deal with the death and fall in love.

Plus on top of a great movie, Drew gets a taste of Chuck and Cindy's wedding party at his hotel in Elizabethtown. A wedding party, that anyone would have fun with!

So if you get a chance and have never seen this movie, or haven't seen it in a long time, watch it today! You can grab it on Amazon Prime for very cheap. Rent on Prime

Out of 10 Popcorn Kernels, I give it a 9.
